Patchwork Slippers Workshop

Make a pair of slippers to match your bedroom, or your dressing gown! They are also really good as presents (and easy to post!).

Tutor: Liz Coleman

You will need:
– Strips of coordinating fabric, perhaps including some silk (which provides a highlight)
– Coordinating ribbons – thinish – or lace if you want some really feminine slippers!
– A coordinating fabric for the lining and the top of the sole
– A packet of commercial bias binding to tone
– Toning quilting threads
– Scraps of wadding, preferably cotton
– A wavy-edged rotary cutter blade – but don’t worry, Liz has some to borrow

If (but only if!) you have an off-cut of table-protecting stuff (it has a sort of felty backing and a rubbery/plastic surface), bring it along. Please don’t feel the need to buy any as Liz will make sure she has enough for the group. This is used for the sole of the slipper.
– The usual sewing kit
– A well-maintained sewing machine
